Mission Statement
We care. We help the elderly Holocaust survivors in their old age.
We remember. We support educational and pious commemorative events remembering the Holocaust victims.
We think ahead. We are helping to preserve the traditions – we support the education on Judaism and development of Jewish communities.
We restore. We participate in restoration of Jewish monuments destroyed by Nazi and Communist totalitarian regimes.
We compensated. We helped to rectify and mitigate the property injustices caused during the WWII.

Football in Terezin Ghetto
Terezin Memorial and Beit Theresienstadt wish to invite you for the exhibition "Terezin League, Football in the Terezin Ghetto" in the Small Fortress of Terezin. The exhibition was opened on 29th May 2012 and will be open until 30th October 2012.
The exhibition features the history of football in Terezin in 1942-1944. During that time, non-professional as well as professional teams of seven players, who were watched by thousands of Terezin prizoners. most of the spectators died in extermination camps. The exhibition aims to introduce the horrors of Shoa on football and the power of humanity and life on the face of it.
New memorial brass for Shoa victims in Ricany
Many years of effort of Mr. Schreiber were finally rewarded with success when the memorial brass for Holocaust victims was unvailed in Ricany by the local mayor on 17th May 2012. The event was attended by representatives of the town and its citizens, Shoa survivors, donors and representatives of Jewish organisations.

JudaFair 2012
On 13th May 2011 we took part at the festival of Czech Jewish organisatiíons. The event was organised by the Union of Czech Jewish Students and it that took place on the premises of Lauder Jewish Day School. The fair was held with the support of a grant endowed in the special call for grants of our fund. We were honoured to be a part of such a succesful event and we thank all organizers for their work.
NGO market
The FHV took part at the Czech NGO market, where it presented its activities. The event took place on Friday May 11 in the National Technical Library. More information about the fair can be found at www.forum2000.cz.
Café of three generations in Lauder Jewish Day School in Prague
On 19th April we held the second "Café of Three Generations" - this time on the premises of Lauder Jewish Day School in Prague. During the event students, teachers and other visitors had a unique chance to reflect the effect of Shoa on the 3 generations after the WWII. Our special thanks go to the moderator of the evening - the journalist Irena Kalhousova and the panelists - the harpsichordist Zuzana Ruzickova, the psychiatrist and father of two Lauder school pupils Marek Preiss and the president of Czech Union of Jewish Students and a Lauder school graduate David Kosák. We are looking forward to seeing you at the next Café that will take place on 18th May 2012 in the JCC in Brno.
